A study from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation showed that women with low levels of financial literacy were more likely to take part in costly credit card behaviours than men with a low level of financial literacy. However, there were no differences in behaviour between men and women with high financial literacy.

On June 15th,  we are running a PD Credit & Financial Literacy workshop hosted by our partners Experian – UK. This session will include presentations and discussions around:
• Demystifying Credit Reports/Scores
• How to Enhancing your Financial Literacy Skills
• Improving your Money Management Skills

Financial education is a fundamental element of the PD programme, as we believe it is key to improving social mobility, particularly for young women; and together with our partner Experian we will continue to teach PD members (and the wider community) how to budget, spend wisely, and properly use credit.
